Have Goals, Milwaukee

Marsupial Bridge.

Community Contest

If you’ve visited the blog page recently, you’ll see that the style has changed a lot. That’s what this contest is all about. If you take a look, you’ll see that the background image is kinda lame. That’s because it’s a placeholder. What I’d like for the background image is something that is simple, beautiful, and ‘Have Goals’. Something that radiates the simplicity and complexity that is Have Goals. If you want, go ahead and create an image (size does not matter-just keep in mind that if it’s small, it will be blown up, and if it’s big, it will be scaled down) that fits what YOUR idea of Have Goals is.

Submissions will be accepted NOW at havegoals@gmail.com and will end when I feel like ending it (probably about a month). Please title emails of submissions with HAVE GOALS MILWAUKEE IMAGE CONTEST otherwise I may not notice it.

For all that submit, even if your image is not chosen, I will find a way to honor and incorporate your submission in the blog.

THANKS

I forget the name of the dead-end street this is on (Riverboat dr?), but if you take the west side trail of the Milwaukee River South, you’ll pass right by this (and some other cool street art, too!)

Found this thing at Culture Jam MKE a few weeks ago. A user on instagram posted those co-ordinates and it lead to 6001 State st. J7A doesn’t bring up anything on Google. It looks similar to the Have Goals sticker, so I’m wondering if anyone here knows anything about it?

"Slack" is "The ability to
achieve your goals with ease.”

From Karen, an avid Slacker:
I found Slack. I have
Never been more energized or
Devoted to doing what I
See as important these days!
Like many, Karen was confused
At first. But, with time,
Confusion ceased to exist and
Karen is happier than ever.

UHHH…. I just got a notification on my phone that ‘findslack’ reblogged this. Check out the blog, there are only 3 posts on the page.

I’m so incredibly intrigued by this. One of the posts has other social media thumbnails on it. So this is out there. The mystery begins

Piggybacking on this post (again). The findslack tumblr account has a page titled ‘testimonials’ in which the post above is included AS WELL AS two other testimonials. They have weird punctuation and seem to spell something out. I encourage everyone to follow that blog and see where it leads, maybe some of us can decipher the codes and find our ‘slack’, whatever it may be.

Bluemound at Underwood Creek. Really gotta watch for this one.

33rd and Pabst. This is an interesting intersection.

20th & Kinnickinnic River Parkway. First time I’ve seen these little ones. Apparently they’re very weather-proof.

6th and Virginia. I never thought I’d see any in the valley for some reason. But coming across this felt good. I was pleased to see an original and a chrome. The little things I guess.

Bonus picture of one on the back of a sign with the 6th street viaduct in the background.
